OXYGÈNE

This album hit on the second half of the 70's when electronic music was becoming more commercially acceptable to the masses. JMJ does a fine job with his debut album. To me this is definitely a progressive concept piece and a fine one at that.Parts 1,2, and 5 for me the most interesting longer sections of the music. Part four is instantly recognisable as the single release off Oxygene and is equally likeable. Is it comparable to some of Oldfield's or Tangerine Dreams works? Perhaps but all credit to JMJ he does retain his own flavour of individuality.This is the only album I could enjoy by the Frenchman but I highly recommend this to anyone keen on the 70's electronic music scene.
