4 stars I entirely agree with P A community when they have given to DEEP PURPLE "In Rock" a highest quotation between all discography of the band. In spite "Machine Head" be their most popular album, in my humble opinion in "In Rock" (after 3 good albuns) the band finally find their own sound identity. The disk are a lesson of how to make a fine hard-rock without lost their psychedelic vein (Like in the first track "Speed King" with a "Hendrix" overture or in the track four "Flight of the Rat" with the hammond-organ melodic conduction), and add a strong heavy-rock "atmosphere" (like in the same firt track and the track five, both with a very "explosive" riff) and beside all these things the "majestic" track three "Child in Time" . All the tracks are very good ones and the disk haven't none weak or unpleasant. My rate is 4 stars !!! With enthusiasm !
