5 stars As good as any Jethro Tull album from previous periods, Roots to Branches mark the entrance of the band in "world music" territory. Something quite "natural" for a band with so much folk influences and always keen to change and try new stuff.

Although the album is too much dense, anddont have tme to "breath" between the songs (or even in the middle of them), each track is strong as the album as a whole. There is a variety of melodies beyond the indian and eastern music, as "Stuck in the August Rain", but my favorities are "This Free Will", "Valley" and "Beside Myself".

Strong album of 1995, something unique as only Jethro Tull can do it.
