4 stars Of all the live albums in my collection, BURSTING OUT, along with ON YOUR FEET OR ON YOUR KNEES by Blue Oyster Cult, and TWO FOR THE SHOW by Kansas, are the ones I listen to the most. This captures Jethro Tull at the peak of their powers in 1978 with their best known classic lineup of members- just after SONGS FROM THE WOOD and HEAVY HORSES. There are a lot of powerful renditions of their more famous numbers contained here, "Aqualung", "No Lullaby", "Minstrel in the Gallery", "Locomotive Breath", etc... even a snippet from "Thick as a Brick" is tried out . And there is some very good banter by Ian Anderson, also. This album could really be used as an introduction to Tull by a newbie. 4 stars and almost the whole 5.
