4 stars The man behind those projects Arjen Lucassen considers himself a hermit. He only shows up at those live shows for a few songs. On this one, it's the complete 2008 album, where Arjen was at that time in a dark period. The album had some sad songs and some happy ones. This is another big project with 18 vocalists and musicians. The surprise is the presence of Daniel Gildenlow for the first time with Ayeron. The choice of musicians is similar to past releases with friends from the world of metal. The music of Ayeron, for those who are not familiar with it, is power metal with space, folk, and prog tendencies. The stage set-up is even bigger here, with a structure on two levels with singers on the second level high up. Arjen did another nice 5.1 surround mix. This show has brought people from around the world but was part of a larger event with a day of activities and an acoustic show. If you have enjoyed the last live releases of the band, this one is even more impressive visually, with some lasers for the first time! You can simply be impressed by the work that made possible this show with many people involved who had to know their roles to not screw something up.
