1st June, 2021: From Monument to Masses - The Impossible Leap in One Hundred Simple Steps (post-rock, 2003)

I have to say I struggled with this, there's just something so offputting about how obnoxiously self-righteous this is. Basically, it's B-Grade math rock with a bunch of pseudo-political chatter all over it. I don't think I even paid any attention to what was being said - I don't really care whether I agree with it or not, it's just presented in such a *hits bong* *adjusts trilby* *logs into reddit* sort of way. It doesn't help that the instrumental backing is about as uninspired as you can find in modern rock music. Not for me.
