ABACAB

Seems to me that some people are content to remain fixed in a prog rock time capsule and unless an album sounds like Foxtrot or Close to the Edge then the groups have sold out. Absolute garbage! Abacab was one of the bravest moves by Genesis and it's timing was perfect. The title track itself makes the album worthwhile and the new ground with simple drum beats in parts created an exciting new decade for Genesis. Me and Sarah Jane, Dodo, Like it or Not are all great songs and Abacab produced a refreshing new theme within the music. How peope can condemn Rutherford's guitar work on Abacab leaves me dumbfounded. A great album.
