THE BENDS

Just when everybody thought that Radiohead is a "One Hit Wonder", Radiohead had proved them wrong. Two years after "Pablo Honey", they released "The Bends", which proves without a doubt that Radiohead can be multi-colored and to have a rough, non-mainstream records.

Radiohead had a huge progress since their first album, and "The Bends" truly expresses many human feelings: starting with the fear from differency ("Fake Plastic Trees"), Self Hatred ("Just"), till loneliness ("Street Spirit"). "The Bends' symbols the perfect writing by Thom Yorke - with the disappointment & fear that are so typical to him.

Although the media has not gave "The Bends" it's place, but with the time Radiohead placed themselves in the top of the world music. The process that Radiohead has done continued with the entrance of producer Nigel Godrich, that can be seen on "OK Computer" & later on. The joined work had great results on this album and kept the improvement from the first album.

My favorite tracks are - first, "Fake Plastic Trees", the most emotional song that Radiohead ever provided, speaks about the fear from being different. The other one is "Street Spirit" - that combines great song with one of the best video clips iv'e ever seen.

So for this album, which i like very much, i give 4 stars.
