2 stars What a conundrum. Should get a rating of "for fans only", but then most people here are fans of the band for their later output. It's not as good as three and not as bad as one... what a conundrum. I guess I'll stick with two.

The only thing remotely proggy about this is the old hidden track at the end trick (though on the LP version, it was situated elsewhere) that seems to be so popular these days. The songs are alright, with the highlights being the title track and the dialogue before Cold and Ugly. Again, no prog whatsoever.

Worth a shot for the likely shrimpy price tag (not that such a thing is a concern to me), the historical factor and because it's one of Tool's few albums in their 15+ years of existence. Don't expect to be listening to it too much though.
