5 stars My personal favorite album of all time, ISOTLC is sheer brilliance. The next step in the Moody Blues 7 album run of epicness, ISOTLC takes the moodies aside from the orchestral sound of DOFP, and brings a much more progressive side to the band. The band has hit an extremely high level, extremely fast, where the music, the vocals, the melodies, and all else are in a perfect blend of absolute wonder of which no band can match in 1968. I will admit, Dr Livingston is not the most amazing song ever, but it is still a simple and joyous melody of which i cannot deny. I would never say ANY song on here is bad, it is a flawless album, it is just Ray Thomas's "Dr. Livingston I presume" does not match the greatness of the entire album. Otherwise, the album is striking. Justin Hayward's vocals are undeniably the greatest vocals YET in music, and he is singing quite possibly the most moving and melodic songs EVER. This album is perfect, listen to it and you will be stunned. I advise playing this for your children, if you have any. I am 19 and my father played me this and many other great albums when i was a child, and they have changed my life in such an amazing way! Purchase this NOW!
