5 stars This beautifully balanced French progressive album is a study in subtle dynamics. With all instrumentation blending together evocatively and creating lush atmosphere, either a mourning flute or rich and fluid guitar will improvise over top of a bed of busy percussion and lush mellotron, leaving room for the bass and either a second guitar or keyboard to explore some added melodic flavor and create subtle counterpoint to the compositions. The composition build their intensity with less change-ups and sensuality than say the great Italian bands, approaching the more subtle and natural way of evoling their dynamics similar to Camel. The vocals are sparse but enhance the overall melodic flavor to the song. The compositions themselves are full of intelligence and are well composed, giving the musicians an evoctive and sentimental basis to reach their ideas. This overall a great classic progressive album throughout.
