This is a beautiful song that deserved to have won the Oscar. For me it was a great surprise to learn that Peter Gabriel had contributed to Wall - E, which is a beautiful but strange movie. When the credits began, I was aware of the music that started there and then ... bam! He started singing! I thought, "Damn, more than cool". And indeed, this song is beautiful, simple but beautiful. The highlight here is actually the chorus at the end of the song that adds grandeur to it, making it - better than it already is. It really is hard to believe that this song has lost the Oscar to dance Jai Ho from the movie Slumdog Millionaire, but not everything in life is the way we wanted ...
