2 stars I gave this one a try once again today. Boring. Really boring! I own this record since 1976. I bought it right away, as I did with all other solo works of Yes members, because I was sure that somewere someone would be carring on with the Yes sound, despite the band split...So who better than the singer and main song writer, I said to myself. But, hey, no. Nothing beside the voice. Not enough. A good try to put down the tracks for the work to come in collaboration with Vangelis. Hints of that lies all around. But The best thing about this record is the cover. Great artwork, great story. A nice new age record, ahead of his time maybe. But boring. Long structures based on ethereal soundscapes, arpeggios, almost no percussions or any other trace of rock somewere. I cannot stop myself thinking about all the works Yes has done, compared to this one. Even solo works of the other members all sound better and are more interesting than this one. I scarcely understand the high rating on this pages, but maybe it's my fault. Maybe at 50 and after only 35 years of trying I still don't get the point.
