CONSTANT MOTION

Rip-roarin' single cut from SYSTEMATIC CHAOS 2007 by Dream Theater. This song is somewhat out of the usual style of the band, being very heavy with screaming vocals and some growls. There is no letup in the energy of this tune, it rips from beginning to end. Excellent playing by all musicians, of course, with some blistering guitar solo especially, the best part of the entire song, in my opinion. I have heard that this is a favorite live track. The music itself reminds me heavily of Rush on VAPOR TRAILS, not sure why. Or is it Metallica? As an album, SYSTEMATIC CHAOS seems to have been given a lot of 3 star ratings with some 4's mixed in. As a song onto itself, "Constant Motion", is a fine single and deserving of 4 stars. Not my favorite band, but this is one of my favorite cuts from them.
