4 stars I don't think I can give this one a full five star rating because of the impressive amount of filler material. It is still an excellent album because the rest of it is great. The title track is the main reason for this, but Titan, Fortress of sand, and Sunburnt are fine as well. The title track is a great epic which never bores and goes through plenty of different sequences. It has the perfect amount of balance between Instrumentation and vocals. The guitar sores on this track and is backed up by piano very nicely. If I'm not mistaken I believe there is even a banjo in a couple parts. Titan is the perfect way to end the album, and it has some of the best lyrics I've heard from Phideaux. They are open for interpretation but the song seems to be about God, or a deity that watches over you. I heard an interesting thng about this album, that the band members brought left over material from there other projects and threw it all together to make Chupacabras. Very interesting to me because this album doesn't feel thrown together at all! It's a polished very good album that you should give a listen.
