5 stars Why the mastermind and primary songwriter of a band (Verbal Delirium in this case) needs to release a solo album? Couldn't it be simply the band's next move? Well, musically is a bit different to what Verbal Delirium have done so far (although no one really knows what their next step will be like) and, astonishingly, the lyrics are even more personal. So, there you are...On this album Jargon recruits his good old friend Nikitas Kissonas on the guitar, the current drummer of Verbal Delirium Will Bow and he assigns the role of the bassist to his ever trustworthy producer Leonidas Petropoulos. There is a very important addition, a string quartet which really makes a difference when it comes into the picture (all its parts have been written and arranged by Nikitas Kissonas, mind you). Next, forget about listening to the album fragmentarily, it is either to be taken as a whole or not at all. For that matter, I wouldn't like to refer to each song separately; instead I'll point out that the music is cinematic, deeply melancholic, captivating, with an amazing vocal performance and superb musicanship. It is not an album that one can hear at any moment, but only when they are in the appropriate mood. Only then will they realise that the saying "hurt an artist and you will see masterpieces of what you've done" is the case here. Personally, when I feel like listening to it, I can hardly think of any album that surpasses its beauty. One day it will be regarded as one of the true masterpieces of our beloved music.
