5 stars King Crimson's "Red" is an absolute masterpiece of progressive rock, and it's no surprise that it's considered one of the greatest albums in the genre. Released in 1974, this album showcases the incredible musicianship and creativity of the band's members, who are firing on all cylinders from start to finish.

From the opening track "Red" to the closing notes of "Starless," every moment of this album is a showcase of the band's exceptional musicianship and unique sound. The title track is a hard-hitting instrumental that features some of the most intricate and powerful guitar work ever recorded, while "Fallen Angel" and "One More Red Nightmare" are both intense and haunting, with memorable hooks that will stick with you long after the music has stopped.

The centerpiece of the album is undoubtedly the epic "Starless," which builds slowly to a thundering crescendo of guitars, drums, and soaring mellotron. This is a song that truly showcases the band's ability to create music that is both emotionally powerful and intellectually stimulating. This is still one of the best songs ever made!

Overall, King Crimson's "Red" is a true masterpiece of progressive rock, and a must-have for any fan of the genre. From its innovative use of dissonance and unconventional song structures to its breathtaking musicianship and emotional depth, this album deserves every one of its five stars.
