What a progression Oldfield has made! From tubular bells, which is nothing more than a bunch of very good musical idea's glued together, to this, wich can be regarded as Oldfields ultimate masterpiece. It flows from fast rythm landscapes to hard rock scenes, but it never loses itself in the sense that it wanders off like other Oldfield records before this one. It is in fact one. Beautiful melodies, and terrific musical colouring. He chooses the perfect instruments and the vocals are also in perfect blend with the music. It's length is maybe a weak spot, but only when you are restless. Take your time, and let the melodies and rythms take you to the place that Oldfield created. A masterpiece.
