CAPTAIN BEYOND

Kind of a poor mans Zeppelin or Humble Pie with a prog twist. This group has obvious Deep Purple roots because of Rod Evans, who was once a part DP. They certianlly have some rockin' songs, the first and last songs were the most memorable for me. They sound ahead of their time too, they just can't stand up against the big guys Zeppelin, DP, Humble Pie, Sabbath as far as the hardrock aspect is concerned. If you want rare, hard, prog rock from the early 70s, check out atomic rooster than come to these guys and check out warhorse.
