X IN SEARCH OF SPACE

A really nice trippy album... But I woudn't really call it a masterpiece, I'm not sure if it's really prog rock... It's rather psychedelic hard/space rock on its early way of evolution to progressive. Nice musical ideas, and a great atmosphere but it's really hard to listen for fifteen minutes to "You shouldn't do that", a hard rock track played almost all the time on one chord, even if it has tremendous vocals, when you're not high...:) There are also some very nice acoustic songs, like "We Took The Wrong Step Years Ago ", great, a bit psych-proggy experimental tracks, like "Adjust me", but just compare it with any prog masterpiece, like "Close to the edge" or "Red", and you'll think twice before giving it five stars... Even if it has a beautiful cover..
