4 stars Even though SAENS is listed as a neo progressive group, this album is certainly not your standard neo progressive album. Multiple ambiances brought about by multiple instrument types makes for varied music which often changes directions. And this is strangely enough also the drawback of this album, and why I didn't rate it a five-star : the different compositions have no guideline. They seem to start and wander about in no particular direction, just being developped for the benefit of showing the abilities of the musicians (which are good !). This is reinforced by the way they end : fading off without ever giving the impression that the piece arrived at its conclusion. But this is nevertheless a very good album worth listening to thanks to the sheer beauty of its instrumentation.
