3 stars What type of album is this 'Gaucho'? A Jazz POP/ AOR album. But not for this 'Gaucho' is a poor album. Certainly I believe this album different. At the end of my thoughtful listening my mind elaborates this sentence: 'Gaucho' is a mature album, played by great musicians, great album is 'Gaucho' because bastard album for who think that Jazz POP is only another type of AOR.

In Prog field I do not think that 'Gaucho' is a great album but I think, at the same time, that this fact is good, extreme good for a correct formulation of trial. In substance 'Gaucho' is an album for adult listeners, peoples that love Camel but that love (or not hate) 80's Genesis. This because the music is so ruffian (but in this case not Rock) that, for me, is indicate for who love these bands.

Probably my reaction about 'Gaucho' songs (taken one by one) it is not good but the final result sound good in my head. Sure 'Gaucho' is not the correct album for Steely Dan newbies. But if you love Jazz POP 'Gaucho' is a perfect album.
