5 stars Incomparable. To me, the greatest musical recording of all time. Idiosyncratic I know. Let Us Go Into the House of the Lord is an adoption of the arrangement performed by Pharaoh Sanders and friends on the album Deaf Dumb and Blind, which was charted by Lonnie Liston Smith. Beautiful. In these hands it's the Ode to Joy. Almost impenetrably dense. On each listening one must concentrate upon these players in turn, other than McLaughlin or Santana. Start with Rauch's bass. Yes, it's just a drone. Listen. Then Peraza's skins. Impossible. Then Young's organ, from another world. This is cosmic Wall of Sound. Grandiose. Beautiful. Then terrible and huge in McLaughln's solo attack. Resolution. One in ten million will get this. No matter.
