4 stars The album opens up with heavy Inferno (the first song I heard with Symphony X.) Then it continues with the feeling that the whole album is the building up for the last track, the great epic The Odyssey. So the rate for the first seven tracks would be 3 stars. There is some highlights (Inferno, Awakenings etc.) but a little to much straight forward I think. But the great The Odyssey lifts the whole album to 4 stars. It has everything. Great orchestral, stunning riffs by Romeo (the riff that starts at 15:00 is just amazing), breathtaking vocals by Allen and amazing solos from particularly Romeo (they could probably have skipped the keyboard solos.) So the rate for the whole album will be 4 stars (3 stars for the seven first tracks and 5 stars for the last)

Rate: 4
