2 stars Just Scratches 2 Stars. Mostly Bad.

Perhaps the 'mistake' that had to occur, this album brought the two Yes camps (Yes-West and Yes-UK) seemingly back together on the same album. In truth, the two camps did not play together - each supplied their separate pieces, with botched additional production by Jonathan Elias. Much has been said about this album, and I largely agree (including Wakeman's 'Onion' critique). Most of the music on this is simply bad. What were they thinking? Saying this, there are some decent tracks. Steve Howe's acoustic-guitar solo, 'Masquerade', is the best track on the album, and I have to say, it is worth picking this up if just for this song. The two back-to-back tracks (on the CD) "The More We Live - Let Go" and "Angkor Wat" are also passable, and the last two tracks 'Evensong' and 'Take the Water to the Mountain' have "sufficient" charm that one isn't driven to throw up. But these are not able to bring up the overall quality much. I give this 3.2 out of 10 on my 10-point scale, which translates to low 2 PA stars.
