4 stars If you liked BSS, and I did, then I think this album, albeit a live one, is every bit as good. Fair enough that the sound is a bit poor at times but what really makes this album work is Keith Emerson and his keyboard playing on Tarkus; especially the early part of that track. There are times where Keith practically makes the Hammond sing, so fluid and well phrased is his playing during Tarkus. This is an album I bought when it first came out and now, 30+ years later, can still listen to without wondering what I was getting excited about all those years ago. Get it if only to hear a true genius at work on the keyboards.
