X IN SEARCH OF SPACE

This was my first Hawkwind album and at first i was pretty let down by it, but it has grown on me still its not as good as Doremi fasol latido and Space ritual wich both rock much harder, this is a much softer and wierder album. It sure has Master of the universe wich has a good and heavy riff, buth the other ones are more like long wierd jams like the starter You Shouldn't Do That. On the other hand Nik Turner seem to take more place on this album then the 2 that follows on this one you can even hear his sax very clearly, and he co wrote many of the songs. The album to me sounds very unfocused but i gues thats a Hawkiwnd tread mark, there is not much singing mostly instrumental with lots of wierd space sound effects, probobly a great album to get high with, but even if your not the album will pretty much make you feel high anyway. I got the 1998 remaster with the 3 bonus tracks and i must say thos 3 are almost my favorites they rock much harder and are much more focused the great singel Silver machine realy rocks. Well all in all its a good album, the ultimate space trip i have heard some say about the album and meby they are right.
