02 PANIC ROOM

This is the first single of the forthcoming album RAPID EYE MOVEMENT to be released next month, and contains 4 tracks, being the title song the only one to be included in the full CD.

To be honest, the 1st time i listened to "02 Panic Room" (the track) i didn't like it very much, i thought it was ok though, but i just had to hear it a couple more times to grow up in me. I still think is not as good as their previous songs, although it offers a fresh sound since it has an electronic approach, but staying in the same space ambient and with a great short guitar solo(as usual).

"Lucid Deam IV" is an instrumental and is like a continuation of the Reality Dream saga and actually sound similar to those tracks, specially to the part III. A very good song in the classic style of Riverside, lots of heavy riffs, atmospheric mood with lush synth and organ.

"Back To The River" is a Pink Floyd tribute and their particular interpretation of the British legendary band sounds, to be more specific, "Shine On You Crazy Diamond". Very interesting.

The 4th track is a remixed version of the the title song. I have to tell you that i usually don't like remixes, but this one is quite enjoyable. Actually this version made me like more the original one. Is very similar but more electonic and more atmospheric effects.

This EP gives me high expectations about the next Riverside album which is supposed to be in stores late September or early October. I can't wait!!
