THE BEATLES [AKA: THE WHITE ALBUM]

Some of this album is classic, and some of it not so much. I chose to go with a 5-star rating however because of one reason: The Beatles (White Album) is the most diverse collection of songs ever created. Period. Almost every style of music is explored in the album's 30 songs. Rock n' roll ("Back in the U.S.S.R."), children's music ("Piggies"), country ("Rocky Raccoon"), blues ("Yer Blues"), hard rock/heavy metal ("Helter Skelter"), and even sound collage ("Revolution 9"). That's just to name a few; there's probably several that I'm missing.

This could have been altered in some way to make a single album, but that would have just taken away most of its charm. It is not perfect, not by any stretch of the imagination, but it represents the Beatles at their most creative. This is raw, untouched talent.
