3 stars Funny to comprehend some people marked it with the label "masterpiece of progressive rock", but it is by no means ununderstandable when they gave it five stars. I've made me my own rating system of listener's and buyer's ratings, and in my recognition it's 7 C, that is "charming though not remarkable" & "it is nevertheless logical to own this record for some reasons other than pure collectionist/completionist interest".

I love the pop music of my native former USSR and its parts. I see nothing super special in the pop department here at all. For me the hi-end pop is the Dutch eurodisco band Teach-In along with Boney M and ABBA. Progressive licks are too infrequent here to engage my love. But I surely love Spooky Boogie which by the way seems to me to be the only GG's tune ever aired on the Soviet TV. In the times of Perestroika (1986-1991's USSR) there were different programmes depicting some refugees/emigrants returning to the Soviet Union on an occasional or permanent basis. One of the programmes featured Spooky Boogie as the background music for one fragment.

It is enough and necessary to listen to the first 4 tunes, Friends, the riff from It's Only Goodbye, and blasting rock'n'roll part of Little Brown Bag. We got 4 or 5 tunes plus 2 other tunes' parts. Out of 10 songs present it's not bad, I guess.

Combined with the original progressive idea of the mask to be cut out from the album cover, this is a good recording. And I always have a feeling that I'm Going Slightly Mad is the rip-off of Giant For A Day to the hardly identifiable extent. It is about good old universal data bank, or what?
