3 stars This, be the last studio album released. Of course as you all know by now it was recorded before Abbey Road, I'm not really sure why, but that isn't of relevance!

The production of this one is really rough, it includes microphone spitting, distortion (present on the CD itself), and the horrible "Wall of Sound" treatment. There is some tension between the members, but the music is pretty good.

After their Psych period, it seemed that with this record the Beatles were going back to their roots, with songs like Lennon's "Dig a Pony", "I've Got a Feeling", "One After 909".. etc. But it also contained some great songs that would have fit well n Sgt. Pepper's, like the depressing "Across the Universe", and the joyful "Two of Us".

This contains, in my opinion, George Harrison's best work with the band. "I Me Mine" is incredible, one of my favourite Beatles tunes!

It was a good parting note for the most legendary band ever to leave on. It contains a mix of their previous styles, good song writing and performance. it remains a solid record.
