Traffic Experiment biography
UK trio TRAFFIC EXPERIMENT was formed in 2006 by Stuart Chalmers (vocals, guitars), Tom Vincent (drums) and Simon James White (bass). Following four years of work they released their debut album "Blue Siberia" in 2010. Just over a year later the single "Vashta Nerada" and the EP "(Lite) Blue Suburbia" followed. In 2013 they released their first live production, "Live [at the End of the World]", a CD and DVD combined release. Traffic Experiment is currently working on material for a new studio album.

— First review of this album —
5 stars Dare with the original theme of a piece of worship is always a risk. Daring out of classical music performances that have done much more. Vashta Nerada is that .. a challenge. It is take the original Doctor Who theme, a classic over 50 years and put in the brains of thousands of Whovians and give it a psychedelic game is wondering ... "and? As he had done at the time Pink Floyd Meddle? How have sounded the drums and bass to get into the game mixed with psychedelia pores? " And Vashta Nerada is the firm answer. A start fully in clouds and then enter slowly and savor the subject to known musical theme of Doctor Who, but making the firm granting enter the classic, but flying between slides and totally unknown choir in the original. It is a tribute, say the members of the band, but without falling into the classic but giving birth to a beautiful, strong version and whovian

4 stars I just don't understand why no-one has reviewed this album yet. It's simply fabulous. Great melodies, brilliant musicianship, soaring vocals. A little bit of everything in the mix makes it difficult to categorise (maybe psychedelic prog' ballads?), but the overall result is very assured. Hailing from Guildford, the epicentre of bourgeois middle England, the band describe themselves as "a UK-based independent progressive art rock band". Stuart Chalmers's fluid guitar work forms the backbone of the music, but he's ably supported by an assured rhythm section and there are some lovely, angelic backing vocals. For those British readers who grew up hiding behind the sofa on a Saturday evening, I would also recommend the evocative single Vashta Nerada (Doctor Who Theme). Outstanding
Thanks to windhawk for the artist addition.
