Review by Heart of the Matter

4 stars Pacifico is an accoustic and vocal trio with a good measure of helping hands given by three founding members of the band Aquelarre: Emilio Del Guercio, Rodolfo Garcia, and Hector Starc.

The music doesn't have any pretension to the characteristic grandeur and complexity of the Symphonic Rock, but rather looks for the warm immediacy of the vocal delivery, that's where its strength lies. However, the apparent simplicity is misleading, since a certain intricacy in the accoustic guitar textures is progressively revealed to the careful listener, as well as several unpredictable harmonic solutions involving the piano and the vocal harmonies.

Given time, much more is to come: some tasty jazz-rock riffage and improvisation, even a couple of acid leads by the electric guitarist Starc, which you surely don't want to miss.

Thanks to windhawk for the artist addition.
