Mostly of post-rock orientation, Kontakte have incorporated plenty of unique sounds to create this overall sound signature, underpinning a large sense of euphoria. Though only utilising small portions of prog, there is enough to sit back and take in this full-bodied album for the great work it represents. The sound-scaping feels ethereal, low-volume background guitars heavily overdriven pronounces its post-rock sentiment, making it a work that comes across as serious. Sound arrangement layering is minimalistic which above all creates that 80's 'shoegazing Indie' effect (Slowdive - Souvlaki). Arrangements are structured to listen like a musical storyboard upon which you could overlay your own pictures.

Modernisation is encompassed via an array of small 'electronica dub-step' beats layered in between the meticulous and under bearing foreground guitar work. The unambiguous lead guitar in mild only leading as a guide allowing the background to take your attention in a balancing act that makes this album. Percussion is enchanting with a variant of high pitches (Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells) that elevate the overall music soundstage from the seriousness of the background ethereal.

No vocals makes this an easy listening album that doesn't demand too much focus to enjoy it. Overall the album is focused however and drives an intended picture that is covered across all 8 tracks. 'We Move Through Negative Spaces' is one of those albums that can repeat itself without becoming overbearing.
