The Number Twelve Looks Like You biography
THE NUMBER TWELVE LOOKS LIKE YOU is a mathcore band from New Yersey formed in 2003 originally known as And Ever with its members consisting of Jesse Korman (vocals), Justin Pedrick (vocals), Cristopher Conger (drums), Jamie Mcllroy (guitars) and Alexis Pareja (guitars). After the band release their first demo their music style began changing so the band changed their name to their current one which is taken from the series The Twilight Zone.

In 2003 the band enlisted Mike Smagula to their vacant bass player position. Shortly afterwards the band got signed to a record deal with Brutal Records and released their debut LP "Put On Your Rosy Glasses". After the release of the album the band went on a tour to promote their release. Due to their increasing popularity the band eventually got signed to Eyeball Records in October 2004. In January 2005 the band released their first EP on their new record label "An Inch of Gold for A Inch of Time". After a short promotional tour for the EP the band headed to the studio again to begin recording their second full length. The album was entitled "Nuclear. Sad. Nuclear." and was released in June 2005.

Two years later after their second full length THE NUMBER TWELVE LOOKS LIKE YOU released their third full length entitled "Mongrel". The album quickly became the best selling album of Eyeball Records on its first week by selling 2,000 units.

As of today the band is currently working on their follow up album of "Mongrel".

THE NUMBER TWELVE LOOKS LIKE YOU music could be described simply as mathcore that's influenced by grindcore, hardcore punk, jazz and progressive metal.

Review by hours_of_wealth

4 stars The Number Twelve Looks Like You's newest album, WORSE THAN ALONE, is a very good record with a large variety of sounds and styles, from grindcore to samba and more. This album however is relatively mellow compared to their previous albums. However, this is still very difficult music to get into. It pays off though. The normal prog fan should probably steer clear of this, but those with more adventurous tastes have something to look forward to with the New Jersey band's latest release.

Some standout tracks are The League of Endangered Oddities, Glory Kingdom, To Catch a Tiger, The Garden's All Nighters, and I'll Make My Own Hours.

I'll give this 3.5 stars, rounded up to 4.

Thanks to burritounit for the artist addition.
