PASTE

I remember to have found this band while I was digging somebody's else discography on the RedRoomMusik website. It was a free download so I decided to give it a listen. I found it very enjoyable, so after just a couple of listens I suggested the band to the Krautrock team and totally forgot it, even if I sometimes went back to the album.

Today I was browsing the "T" letter on PA and I have spotted "TRIP TO ELARA" in the list, so here is my review.

As it happens when one listens without too much attention,the first tracks of the album and the starter in particular, are those most impressed in my mind. The title track is a chill-out instrumental. We call it Krautrock, but this can be intended as Post-Rock as well.

The mood of the whole record is borderline with the electronic chill-out in the style of the various "Buddah Bars", but the kraut element is dominant, especially on "Subterranean Ocean" and "ZegZeg Lempta...".

In brief, this is a very good album for relaxing or, as I'm currently doing quite often, as background music while I work. Not a special thing, but surely a good album for a moment of relax. Few words about the musicianship: this trio is able to fuse their instruments into a sort of "liquid" music. Even when one is driving the track, the ensemble is very compact.
