3 stars A complete obscurity from the 70's prog era,a band established by ex-Fruupp member John Mason. This is a double concept LP,covering a lot of music styles and can be only compared to Aphrodite's Child ''666'' from what I have listened to till today.

As with ''666'' there is plenty of spoken parts in here along with multi-vocal arrangements, unfortunately of an amateur level. But musically the album is not exactly a winner but certainly a satisfying listening. From Heavy Fusion in the realms of WEATHER REPORT and CHICAGO-like horn sections to funky grooves with a pleasant atmoshere and from symphonic textures in the vein of MANDALABAND to spacey/synth atmospheric passages, not far from GONG and CLEARLIGHT,''Cain!...'' can please every music (and not only prog) lover in this world, though not all parts are equal in terms of quality.

Nevertheless, this is a nice and trully rare purchase despite its average production and you shouldn't miss it if you find it at a reasonable price.Recommended.
