2 stars I would describe this album as a mixture of arabic pop music with Tool. In other words: not a very enjoyable sound. The "world music" approach is merely a reference to arabic/oriental rhythms and moods that are, most of the time, cliche. In order to add some "style", the band tries to mix heavy riffs with that atmosphere, making it incredible cheesy. That combination of oriental elements with modern slash guitars make it seems almost like a "Prince of Persia" soundtrack.

The good point: the arrangements. Karen Heath, who plays the wind instruments, can guive it some nice background melodies but, again, the contrast with the guitars are, for me, indigestible.
