![]() What can be said more about Faust's music, except that we're a fairly far cry from the Faust Tapes and earlier stuff. Well there is still that Velvet Underground or Plastic People feel for the second half, while the start of the set is more in the "musique-concrete" type of stuff, but it's still clearly the organized anarchy (probably the worst kind of anarchy), more about dishing out the same old stuff rather than being groundbreaking like they were a few decades ago. Eventually if you're curious about the NWW collaboration, try to lay an ear on this release before investing, despite it being for a good cause, even though I'm not sure we can still call this kind of music avant-garde since it existed since the mid-70's, and really hasn't evolved much since. Definitely nothing essential, even if dare I say it, you're a Faust follower. But most likely most of them will indeed jump on it, especially so that the concert and recording profits will indeed go towards organizing the next edition of the festival.
