EDGE OF TWILIGHT

This is a 2CD compilation album of Gentle Giant's best works from 1970-1974, including nearly all tracks from Octopus and Acquiring the Taste, as well as the whole Power and the Glory album for you to enjoy! A good 2/3 of their debut and Three Friends are present too. Unfortunately, tracks from 1973's In a Glass House was omitted (label reasons?) but the overall selection makes up for it and should be a great introduction to this band if you don't own anything by them yet. A very good overview of one of UK's strangest and most compelling prog bands of the 70's, you get to experience all the different sides of them here and will hopefully wake interest in new listeners to explore the rest of their discography. 4.5/5
