AARDVARK (AKA: PUT IT IN YOUR PIPE AND SMOKE IT)

Guitar-less proto-prog from the UK (although their group name suggested that they might be Dutch ) , this reminds me somehow of a Greenslade album. This , of course , is impossible as Aardvark predates that group by more than two years. I call this proto-prog a little like I say that Gracious! is but this is no full-blown prog such as the giants were maling at the times . This album is relatively calm and non-aggressive but also quickly forgotten after a spin. To be discovered at the end of your early 70's prog quest.
