OF THE LAST HUMAN BEING

I still remember the impact that listening to "Sleep is wrong" had on me all those years ago... The sound concept was perfectly tied to the visual concept, and it was not exactly something you wanted to show your children if their precious dreams were worth anything to you...

They have returned this year with a delivery that has SGM's trademark tattooed on every note and measure: A kind of Metal that incorporates a dark and hermetic theatricality and histrionics, while they surprise us with symphonic arrangements, fragments taken from some nightmare, their own sound montages of Rock in Opposition and a solid narrative from how bizarre and schizoid it might seem.

It is always worth celebrating and applauding that the great monsters remain active and proposing new perspectives without losing their essence. Bravo!
