4 stars Perhaps more spacerock than progressive rock but nonetheless a very interesting album. Recently reissued on the Falling A label. The latest in the Krom Lek reissues, "A Breath of Fresh Air," blending Ozrics and Gong influences into a festival psychedelic extravaganza. The album seamlessly melds intricate space jams with dancey rave beats, reminiscent of classic Gong jams with cosmic guitars and tribal percussion. Adept songwriting and studio embellishments capture the true pulse of Stone Premonitions / Falling A catalogue identity.

Funky psychedelic rock and cool world music grooves with references to Hawkwind and Amon Duul 2, Krom Lek masterfully navigates various styles, from tranquil to frenetic, evoking mystical and spiritual themes. Their music transports listeners on cosmic voyages while also delivering solid ska-beat/dub tracks for energetic moshing sessions.

Throughout the album, Krom Lek's musicianship remains top-notch, with Dave, Tonksy, Bazz, and John leading the charge alongside talented accomplices. The result is 40 minutes of neo-psychedelic bliss, blending Irish folk sounds, rock rhythms, and tight guitar riffs into a captivating sonic journey.

Whether you're a Gong aficionado or a lover of cosmic jams, Krom Lek's latest offering promises an exhilarating experience, firmly establishing them as stalwarts of the genre.
