3 stars Second album of classic fusion trio. In fact, the band is guitarist Simon Golding's project. Trio's debut album was recorded 6 years ago by Simon and two other musicians.

During these 6 years Golding successfully played with The Tarantinos. For this, second release, he found new rhythm section.

Album's music is very competent guitar based jazz-rock. With guitar on the front of all sound, but the guitar sound is successfully very jazzy, not shred at all. All three musicians technically are really good musicians, even if guitarist is a trio's leader for sure.

Simon plays slightly relaxed guitar jazz-rock, influenced by Holdsworth. Main difference is Golding's guitar is much softer, with some excurses to melodic relaxed, even funky areas. The whole sound is very aerial, no even traces of overproducing could be found.

Really attractive album for serious fans of fusion guitar music, especially vintage one. For other listeners album is still nice but far not enough original, both technically and melodically.

My rating is 3+.
