3 stars As several of the Italian masters (to whom they don't belong IMO), "Maxophone" intended to capture the attention of a more spread audience and recorded an English version of their original (and sole) album.

But on the contrary of such a masterpiece as "L'Isola di Niente" which was brilliantly turns into "The World Became the World", the same feel can't be shared. Actually, this English version is quite a carbon copy of its original model. At times, vocals do remind us the good old Pete like during "Six Against One " (for the 1,000th time?.). Is it all necessary? The asking is in the finding. Still, one of my favourite song here.

I would recommend you to stick to the original version if you can find it. As I have wrote in some prior reviews from great Italian bands, at the time (some thirty five years ago), the only way to buy their records was to grab their English version of their work. At least at an affordable price. But times have changed.

As the original album, I am rating this one with three stars. "Maxophone" was another one album maker out of many Italian bands. Not the best one, but for sure not the worse either.
