3 stars Full of Jan's playful mind. This ep "Seikkailun Tuoksu", released as 7' vinyl ep via a Finnish independent label Artsy Records in the VERY last day of 2021, consists of 4 interesting tracks sadly excluded from Jan ANDERZEN solo project TOMUTONTTU's 7th full-length album "Hoshi". In spite of 'excluded' tracks, the four short songs tell us Jan's heartwarming intention straightly. I'm sure we could feel easier, looser, more relaxing touches via the content in this creation. Only 12 minute stuff should be worth listening to, for every progressive electronic fan.

The first "Kultainen Lyyra" gets started with irregular, dissected beats. This tremendous unexpectedness through electronic vibes is another fascination of Jan. In the middle part of this track, we can get immersed in weird sound formation, as if he would have enjoyed child's play or been drenched in a tribal, ethnic ritual. Quite mysterious is that we can feel oriental movements or melodic synthesis. This is a kind of short song involving lots of eccentricity, diversity, and pleasure. The following "Arka Luuta" has great uptempo danceable beats with a bit of Japanese traditional hints. I guess it could be suitable for a Japanese festival dance or Bon Odori by young people. Edgy sharp electronika should beat our mind directly. "Varpaat" is such an electronic mischief. A funky, dumpy, smart, and complicated electro-sound collective makes us smile. The epilogue "Luu Muistaa" is one of the simplest electronics in this opus but piano-ish synthesizer sounds and flute-y melody buffer material are pretty charming. Enjoyable electro- art festivals, we can call them.

Please go on a short, 12 minute trip to TOMUTONTTU wonderland. Of course, his artistic sleeve picture is also fascinating as well.
