4 stars Retropolis finds the Flower Kings building more on the style of Back In the World of Adventures. As the title implies, this is something of a deliberately constructed retro-prog album, so perhaps a bit more of the influence of major classic prog bands like Yes or ELP is added to the mix this time, and the jazz-rock influences via Zappa are a bit less prominent than they were on Back In the World of Adventures (or The Flower King). If I had one criticism of the album, it would be that the overall mood doesn't change that much from beginning to end, with a strong dose of nostalgia ever-present, but otherwise it's another solid effort from the Kings.
