4 stars I've been looking forward to his latest album since last year. And it was really amazing news TOMUTONTTU would release his 7th album entitled "Hoshi" in early December 2021. So happy to be caught by his glamorous colourful electronic sound designation just like what he launched through one of masterpieces "Hylyt", and so curious how his musically structural fascination gets developed. The sleeve is designated with mysterious ancient (religious?) symbols, which excite and encourage us. Anyway "Hoshi" is also a Japanese word that means 'Star' in English. Guess Jan (Anderzén) would have created this opus whilst watching brilliant stars illuminating the dark sky. His grand soundscape is illustrated with such a delightful flavour from the beginning of the departure "Jo alkaa niitty tyhjentyä".

"Jo alkaa niitty tyhjentyä" involves weird, mysterious but charming, percussive atmospheres all around. Repetitive, hallucinogenic sound approaches with synthesizer-oriented lovely temperature should be Jan's world obviously as well. The following track "Järvi. Kyytiin!" sounds more of ethnicity or tribalism. The front melody lines are quite thoughtful, philosophical, and impressive, Above mentioned I guess he would have sent his heart out to East Asian nations.Such a percussive synthesizer sounds in "Alician ylistys" is also enchanting. "Katse osuu sähköön" launches lots of voices like a human, an elephant, or a dwarf, and splendid cool clean xylophone-ish footprints. "Kesä oli äkkiä ohi" is another beautiful view like a smooth, delicate sparkle firework deeply with a landscape like a magnificent waterfall. Mystic touch and flavour ring our bells. Anyway, we enjoy tiny but condensed electronic nourishment in "Radio-ohjattava katse" which is filled with religious, fairy-tales-like attractions. "Malta lausua "AH"" featuring brilliant fluting attachments reinforces Jan's points of musical view. The melodic appearances are fascinating and enthusiastic, just like another fancy of the audience. The epilogue "Kyyti jatkuu" expresses slightly depressive but cheerful future prospects. Although it's tough under such a situation now, we are going forward to get brilliant dreams in near future ... he would say in the last track.

I think this creation should be Jan's message that everyone goes ahead to grab great dreams like brilliant stars - Hoshi. Yes, dreamy really!
