4 stars Sounds like PARHELIA's latest album would have been created for every post-rock / post-metal fan, with prediction of the current 'dark' world invaded by terrible small particles, despite of the bright title "Celestial Horizons". Or yes, they would let you know celestial horizons in near future. This deep, heavy, and distorted sound atmosphere all over the whole creation should be produced by two head PARHELIers Greg and Cathal - they finally have got to this conclusion after many turns and twists, regenerations and hibernations, I guess. The first track title "A Lonesome Journey" opens the curtain of their historical theatre. Repetitive middletempo shoegaze phrases along with heavy humble rhythmic basis sounds not delightful but quite suggestive. You can hear their energetic potential, maintained for over a decade.

The titled track is filled with deep, downtempo, but hopeful melody lines - as if you might get motivated and activated in such an unclear life. Everybody all around should be unambitious and depressive but do not give your brilliant dream away but keep safe and sound ... they would tell you so. Also in "Open Heart" you can feel sorta similar texture to the titled one. Pretty good is the audible combination with guitar, bass, and drums. And your momentary relief can be taken out of your mind in the beginning of "Stars Align", which suggests that marvellous miracles would occur around you. Until the epilogue "Closing Chapter" they have been walking along the way we need to be slowly but steadily. Their melodic, rhythmic lines are simple and compact indeed, but every single phrase has enthusiastic movements. This passion should be their completed structure constructed for over a decade, I imagine.
