CHASING THE FORM

A depressive droning guitar like a green caterpillar and soft but eerie voices and backing sounds...followin' these, suddenly aggressive machinegun shots should attack us. Goal Of All Believers cannot betray us. The heavy repetition from rumbling ground tinged with psychedelic smells completely knock us down away, with David's continuously trailed guitar solo. All instruments, of course perfectly hard'n'rigid rhythm section by Jeremy and Matthew, can construct the core of beats in this song. It's exactly appropriate for understanding OSTINATO's whole essence in my humble opinion. Monkey Gestures carries on the heavy and rumbling earthquake of the previous track, with speedy running tempos like a typhoon. Absolutely it's a headachy song. More and more...immersing us deeper and deeper in Antiaircraft. As we glimpse the song, it seems to be scattered and not united about sounds, especially in the middle part. No no not true it's well-calculated I feel. They do understand how they take us into their "space". Consistently we should be held and tied to the OSTINATOWER with aggressively heavy psychedelia. This can be said on the next track The Art Of Vanishing I feel. David can play as speedily as another slash-metal guitarist, that does give stoner taste massively.

On the contrary, Latitude is a confusing song - the first half is stoner psych-tinged and another half is of crazily persistent doomy guitar solo... Both of them can directly shout into, and surely stir and stir our brain. Curious! Between The Years also takes over the latter part of the previous song. Here, can we keep our mind safe and sound with these songs? However let's get crazy on the last stage...Volant(including A Secret Track) can make us painful again. The last song is a conclusion of this album and passes away with some repetitions of a part of Goal Of All Believers...full of their lingering sounds and flavour left...

They should keep their own heavily-psych tinging and trailing style all over the work. A terrific album!
